WOGG 75 PATENT
ONE SYSTEM – ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES

The development by Willi Glaeser, designer and inventor, was the result of 3.5 years of close collaboration with engineers and materials specialists. Since its founding in 1983, Wogg has been cultivating space-saving sliding door systems for cupboards and sideboards. “With this sophisticated kit, there are hardly any limits to the design and architecture,” says Christophe Marchand, Chief Product Officer of  WOGG AG.

The new Wogg 75 uses the advantages of the known systems and solves the old problems: The sliding mechanism is now not only stable and quiet, convex and concave radii are also possible for the first time. Wogg 75 consists of a guide element as a sliding mechanism and aluminum profiles. The small plastic element, which encloses a soft rubber tire, can be clipped into the slats at any pre-milled point. Their geometry allows individual dimensions as well as concave and convex, narrow and wide radii. The patented technology works on furniture as well as in the interior design of real estate, in exterior design or in other areas of industrial design (ships, airplanes, vehicles, etc.).

AWARD INNOVATION PRIZE ARCHITECTURE + OFFICE

The jury members of the Architecture + Office Innovation Prize recognized Wogg 75 as a “very successful reinterpretation of the roller shutter cabinet”. They justify their decision as follows: “The novelty is created by the concealed fitting technology, which runs invisibly, so that no running rails are visible even when opened. By using extruded aluminum profiles, the product is robust and can therefore be used in all areas from the office to the home. “This structure is also desirable for larger, higher door elements.”

The Architecture+Office Innovation Prize was awarded for the eleventh time by the architecture magazines AIT and XIA by AIT as well as ORGATEC for conceptual solutions that impress in terms of design and functionality.
