INNOVATIONS, INVENTIONS AND PIONEER WORK
WOGG HAS CHANGED AND SHAPED THE FURNITURE AND DESIGN WORLD AROUND THE WORLD
We have built up know-how for the production of our furniture and based on this we are continually looking for further new solutions. Over the years we have developed a number of innovations that distinguish our collection:
POSTFORMING 1983
Postforming made us known as the WOGG brand. In the postforming process, a carrier plate is covered with a plastic plate and pressed. This combination brings improved static values and allows even finer constructions. The edges are protected, but at the same time the rounded shape of the edges is an aesthetic means of expression. The entire first collection is based on the postforming process. The WOGG N° 1 shelf by Gerhard Lange and the WOGG N° 7 table are two witnesses from this period. Over the years, other products followed, including the WOGG N° 12 Sideboard Stripe, the body of the WOGG N° 13 Litfass column and the WOGG N° 22 shelf.

BENDING ALUMINUM 1996
The big challenge with Benny Mosimann's container furniture is the rounded shape of the furniture's floor plans. A surrounding aluminum profile protects the edge and at the same time guides the sliders. For this purpose, we developed the aluminum profile bending machine in 1990. The first piece of furniture from this series was the WOGG N° 17 Ellipsetower, followed by WOGG N° 18 WOGG, WOGG N° 44 in 2015, WOGG N° 58 Openboard and WOGG N° 59 Bigboard.

WOGG COMPOSITE PANEL 2001
WOGG N° 25 and WOGG N° 52 are the epitome of WOGG-typical lightness. We use the composite panels developed by us for all our furniture: the carrier panel, synthetic resin covering and edges are processed into a 5.2 mm thin whole that is very rigid and stable. The panels are then assembled to form the individual pieces of furniture. Thanks to the low material thickness, they are not only visually but also actually very light. The first piece of furniture of this type was the WOGG N° 25 shelving tower. This was followed by the WOGG N° 52 shelf box, the WOGG N° 54 desk and, in 2016, the WOGG N° 60 Grande and WOGG N° 61 Moderato desks and the WOGG N° 62 Horizontal shelf.

TEXTILE WELDING 2007
The actual invention in WOGG N° 42 Armchair is the upholstery that lies on the supporting structure like a blanket and consists of a separate seat and back section. The fabric and the upholstery material are welded into one element using a completely new high-frequency pressing process - and not sewn as usual. The precisely tailored fabric parts are fastened with snap fasteners and can therefore be easily replaced.

NOTCHED ALUMINUM COMPOSITE PANEL 2009
We have developed a roller front for the WOGG N° 49 cabinet that has it all: It consists of a single, notched aluminum composite panel, which impresses with its lightness, enormous flexibility and simple elegance, and a special guide element that ensures that the door runs smoothly guaranteed. We also used the same construction principle for the WOGG N° 53 sideboard and the WOGG N° 51 bar cabinet. The notched aluminum composite panel alone is also used in the WOGG N° 39 screen.

WOGG ROLLFRONT SYSTEM 2021
The patented WOGG N° 888 technology uses the advantages of the known systems and solves the old problems: The sliding mechanism is now not only stable and quiet, convex and concave radii are also possible for the first time. The WOGG N° 888 system consists of a guide element as a sliding mechanism and aluminum profiles. The small plastic element, which encloses a soft rubber tire, can be clipped into the slats at any pre-milled point. Their geometry allows individual dimensions as well as concave and convex, narrow and wide radii. The patented technology works on furniture as well as in bathroom furniture, kitchens and interior design of real estate, in exterior design or in other areas of industrial design (ships, airplanes, vehicles, etc.).
