The WOGG N° 888 sliding front was developed over 3.5 years of close collaboration with engineers and materials specialists. Since its foundation in 1983, WOGG has been developing space-saving sliding door systems for cupboards and sideboards. “With this ingenious kit, there are virtually no limits to the design and architectural possibilities.”
The new WOGG N° 888 builds on the strengths of the established systems and resolves long-standing issues: the sliding mechanism is now not only stable and quiet, but for the first time, it also allows for convex and concave radii. WOGG N° 888 consists of a guide element acting as a sliding mechanism and aluminium profiles. The small plastic element, which encloses a soft rubber tyre, can be clipped into the slats at any pre-milled point. Its geometry allows for custom dimensions as well as concave and convex, tight and wide radii. The patented technology works just as well in furniture as it does in interior fit-outs, exterior design or other areas of industrial design (ships, aircraft, vehicles, etc.).

ARCHITECTURE + OFFICE INNOVATION AWARD
The jury members of the Architecture+Office Innovation Award honored WOGG N° 888 as a “highly successful reinterpretation of the roller shutter cabinet.” They explained their decision as follows: “The novelty lies in the concealed hardware system, which runs invisibly so that no guide rails are visible even when the cabinet is open. The use of extruded aluminum profiles makes the product robust and thus suitable for use in all areas, from offices to residential spaces. One would also like to see this structure applied to larger, taller door elements.”
The Architecture+Office Innovation Award was presented for the eleventh time by the architecture magazines AIT and XIA by AIT, as well as ORGATEC, for conceptual solutions that impress in terms of design and functionality.

In 2022, the WOGG roll-front system received the Materialica Gold Award in the Product category.
The award is presented as part of the international innovation platform eMove360° and recognizes outstanding developments in materials, technology, and design.
The award recognized the combination of innovative material technology, precision Swiss manufacturing, and functional design.
The technology forms the basis for models such as the WOGG N° 1001 as well as for applications by Outside WOGG Patent Partners.

35 YEARS OF WOGG ROLLFRONT
1989 – First roll-front development
WOGG develops a new roll-front mechanism for furniture.
The system is based on aluminum profiles with integrated guide rollers and, for the first time, enables flexible movement without visible hardware.
2009 – New generation of the roll-front
An improved concept combines aluminum composite profiles with thermoplastic materials.
The goal: a simpler design, lower production costs, and more flexible adaptation to different furniture sizes.
2019 – Rollfront 3 Concept
The next stage of development emerges: a new roller and guide system with minimal noise and high flexibility.
For the first time, the design allows for concave and convex shapes.
2022 – World Premiere of the System
Presentation of the new concave-convex rollfront system at Palazzo Litta during Milan Design Week.
2022 – MATERIALICA Gold Award
The WOGG Rollfront system receives the Materialica Gold Award – Product, presented as part of the international innovation platform eMove360° Europe.
2024 – European Patent Granted
The WOGG Rollfront system has been granted European Patent No. EP3910151B1.
